2017 Chevrolet Chevy Captiva Preview and Renders – Be ready for the 2017 Chevrolet Chevy Captiva which will be redesigned until the late 2016 later. But, some rumors claimed that Chevy won’t make any big changes until it reached 2019 model year. Although these rumors are highly proven by some Chevy’s lineup with minor changes especially for 2016 model year, we still believe the changes for Chevy Captive will make us surprised for sure. What makes we think like that because this mid-size crossover is a family car that is popular now on the market scene. Chevy does not want this SUV drowned with the outdated features and safeties back there. Check out our expectation below.
The 2017 Chevrolet Chevy Captiva will still carry the old tradition. It is about the constant updates from its automaker and it will happen too for the 2017 model year. As we expected, the current engine will be replaced by the 2.2 Liter in-line diesel engine with four-cylinder. Yeah, diesel engine could be better especially on fuel efficiency even though it just pumps out 163 horsepower. The higher trims will have 2.4 Liter four-cylinder and 3.0 Liter V6 engine for sure. The range of power will start from 170 until 250 horsepower each trim. Meanwhile, we expect the current FWD and AWD will still available for the next model.
When we take a look to the exterior of 2017 Chevrolet Chevy Captiva, we have some changes obviously. The dual exhaust pipes are still the same by the way, but it is understandable because it does not give big impact for the look. On the front, the grille is still covered with large camouflage here. But, we found larger size rather than the current grill of Captive there. For the wheels, we are sure Chevy gives something different with many variants since the visual is the most important thing for the 2017 Chevrolet Chevy Captiva.
